About Me
Expert, Compassionate Care for Anxiety and Related Challenges
Hello, I am Dr. Evan Vida, a licensed psychologist in the Philadelphia area. I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for the full spectrum of anxiety disorders to adolescents, teens, and adults. I additionally specialize in treatment for those with difficulties managing intense emotions and behavioral issues using a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) framework.
Education and Training
I completed my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at La Salle University, an APA-accredited program in Philadelphia. My academic foundation is supported by extensive training in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Clinical Experience
I am currently a licensed clinical psychologist at the Center for Anxiety, OCD, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy located in the Rittenhouse neighborhood of Philadelphia. Here, I provide evidence-based therapy to individuals across the lifespan struggling with anxiety, anxiety-related disorders, depression, and difficulties managing intense emotions or impulsive behaviors.
I have worked with leading centers such as the Center for Anxiety & Behavior Therapy in Bryn Mawr, PA, and the Center for Anxiety in New York, NY, where I provided individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults, helping them navigate complex conditions like OCD, PTSD, generalized anxiety, and more. I have substantial experience using full-model DBT for adolescents and adults with severe emotional dysregulation, self-injury, and suicidal ideation, as well as co-leading DBT skills groups focused on emotion regulation and distress tolerance.
Ages Treated
I work with individuals across the lifespan. I have extensive experience working with adolescents in adolescent-focused settings as well as adults and older adults.
My Approach to Therapy
Evidence-Based and Personalized
My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that everyone can make meaningful changes when equipped with the right tools. I use evidence-based treatments tailored to each client’s unique needs. From exposure-based protocols to full-model DBT, the goal is always the same: to empower you to live a life not dominated by anxiety but enriched by resilience and growth.
